Texas laws makes it that if your car damages another...you get the ticket ...regardless of what the conditions are...i was at fault and man enough to agree....
There was a failure to control speed as the ticket states...i have to agree
i would have controlled speed if i could...i tried to control speed but could not
the oily road and icy rain made me a passenger ...all the way down

Makes sense, but that seems pretty heartless under the conditions. I'm just curious, how do the lawmakers suggest you control speed in those conditions?

You don't go so fast initially.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope you find a good tub for your engine.

Maybe I misread, but I didn't think he was going fast, just on a hill that was iced over.

At least if Jim were the ticketing officer I'd agree with his assessment.

Maybe his expression "freezing rain" is merely an expression. You know when people are like "damn it's freezing in this house!" and it's like maybe 68-70...yea.

Or was it ACTUALLY freezing? lol

ABS or not, that car took it like a champ and probably saved you from personal injury.

944s are very strong little cars. Glad you're okay and just chalk one up to experience. Freezing rain is awful!
