$450 is pretty good for one with no cracks as they are becoming harder to find.

I know the prices will be very different from a newer dash. But I just got a early 944 dash, with some little cracks at the top, for 67 dollars. It sounds like a good deal, since noboddy ever sells them.

Even though it is in good condition, it's still used and eventually will crack.
(I know I'm gonna hate myself for posting this, but here goes)
For a few bucks more, why not let one of the vendors listed in your OTHER post regarding this matter re-cover?

no-crack dashes are really hard to find nowadays. Mine's got one, inch-sized crack and yes, it bothers me too. But, I figure I'll just let age take its course and when the 'crackage' gets too much for my eyes i'll cover it in leathah or something.

My '86 now has two small half inch cracks in the usual place by the air vents on top.

Pfft. Someone should sell a kit that protects just that area instead of those huge fuzzy carpets that cover the whole dash.
