Default SOLD! Icat's 951 (Code Red) For Sale - Katy, TX

She's Gone! You guys missed a great car at a great price!

And this time I really do need to move her.

1986 Porsche 944 Turbo $8750

This car was purchased from the previous owner in August of 1997. At that time the car had 65,XXX miles. In the 10+ years that I have owner the car I've only put an additional 17,XXX miles on her. The majority of those were during the first five years. Since 2002 the car has been a garage queen. So it’s time for her to have a new home where she can be driven and enjoyed.

This is an excellent example of a daily driver (even if I never did). It is not a concours car, but it’s nicer than most any I have ever seen on the road. This is a solid car with an unmolested engine, full records, popular cosmetic upgrades.

Known Issues
Sunroof works occasionally.
Trip odometer stopped.
Hatch reseal required.
AC needs a recharge.

The Good - Get ready!
New 17" Bridgestone SO3 tires on all four corners.
Totally stock 944 Turbo engine that runs perfect.
Shifts like a dream – no transmission issues.
No cracks in dash.
Factory floor mats.
968 Aero mirrors and door handles.
Complete service records since new.
Car has approximately 85,000 miles.
Belts and Rollers were changed at 78,119 miles.
SFR cat back stainless steel exhaust system.
Factory car cover and bra.
Power Steering Rack and Water Pump replaced at 51,812 miles.
Clutch replaced at 60,028 miles.
CV Joints replaced at 60,430 miles.
Brake Job and Control Arms replaced at 62,809 miles.
Air conditioner upgraded to Sanden unit at 65,355 miles.

Modifications from Stock
968 Aero Mirrors and Door Handles.
Porsche factory 17” 993 Cup Wheels.
Speed Force Racing (SFR) Cat Back Stainless Steel Exhaust System.

In other words, most everything that can go wrong has already been replaced, upgraded, or serviced. This car is ready for many years of trouble free enjoyment. Car has always been garaged and is located in Katy, Texas. As it sits the price is firm at $8750. We can discuss removing the wheels and tires and putting the factory Phone Dials back on if you need a less expensive price.

Selling because I have new toys to play with and I need the garage space.

Another bike?

I can't tell you how helpful the 968 mirror/handle guide was when installing them on my moms car

Thanks Brian. Gonna be sad to see her go...

As much as I didn't want to, I just listed the car on e-bay a few minutes ago.

Had two people contact me early last week concerning the car, but neither have gotten back to me and e-bay is having a $1 listing sale that ends tonight. So, she's out there with all the others. We'll see what a little national exposure does...

I made you an offer last year when you were selling her. I think you balked since I am up in the Northwest. Shipping a car must be a pain in the butt. I really wish I could make another offer. Crap.

Never shipped a car, so I have no idea what's involved. Last year at this time I was less motivated to sell the car. Didn't really need the money, still thought I would use the car. But I never did. She sat in my garage for half the year and then I finally moved her to storage for another 6 months. Well, that's just dumb. No sense in owning something I never use and can't even look at on a daily basis.

The bikes on the other hand are rode every weekend and I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction from them. This year starts my "reign" as Vice President of the Houston region of the Texas Sport Bike Association. As such, I guess the transition is now complete - I'm offically biker scum!

The new ride is a crate (that's new in the box for the those who want to know) 07 Kawasaki KX450F motocross bike. And that's me jumping on the track and catching some air!

It's interesting you've taken that up. Just yesterday I found a great place to ride on Pelican Island. I had no idea a place like that was available. I was up half the night checking craigslist for a decent dirt bike.

Brian, I'm gonna convert (or is that subvert) you yet! There are some great places to ride in our area. Including the Sam Houston National Forest if you're into trail riding. Me? I'm lookin' for air!

C'mon, you tease. Pics or it didn't happen.

No way it's bigger than my truck. Not unless it says "Peterbuilt" somewhere on it anyway...

Oh, it happened!

2007 Toyota Tundra 5.7L Double Cab 2WD

10,000 plus Towing Capacity. Quarter mile in the 14's. Suppose to get 20mpg on the highway. But I figure that's all downhill with a strong tail wind...
