I'll be there, with your Cookies in tow!
Had a scare starting the car for the first time in a few weeks today. I guess after my oil change I forgot to put the coil wire back on the distributor after building oil pressure. I damn near killed my battery, and checked all the fuses and relays before I realized what I did.
Are you guys sure you want to let me near your cars?

Race Car
Chris, there ain't much we can't fix on a 944 short of wrapping it completely around a telephone pole at 50 miles per hour so come on by. The 23rd Saturday morning is the day. We are going to take Michael's car apart and maybe my 88 track car.

Hey Hey People
Glad I saw this
I haven't been around the boards much.
Frank, can I come on by and do my shocks.
I've been driving around with them in my hatch for a few months with no place to work on the car.
Oh, BTW, the red 944 is gone :-(
Give me a ring, your voicemail always seems to be full
Don

Don, why is the red car gone? Rear shocks will be a 10 minute job so its not a problem. PM me as I won't be able to use my phone due to losing my charger. When the new one arrives in the mail, I can call. You want to call Julie and some of the old timers to hang out? I have not talked to Kelly in a while either.

OT: Craftsman Tools Sale
Just a friendly notice to Craftsman fans/944 DIY: Decent sale going on at Sears. I bought a Craftsman 137 Mechanics piece tool set for $99 and Gear wrenches were half off (as of Friday/flex head metric $44 and regular combination $29). Michael

Thread here: https://rennlist.com/forums/west-us-rennlist-region/409857-los-angeles-tow-yard-sold-my-944-keep-an-eye-out-for-it.html
I don't have either phone number, and rarely have internet access.
Hopefully people see the thread.
btw, remember those early wheel bearings that I contributed to the "Frank's Pile O' Porsche Parts", I may need them as well, but have no place to even jack up a wheel to check.
Looking forward to seeing peeps, both new & previously met.
Don
EDIT: Well, looks like I can't make it early. But should be there in the afternoon.

Anyone who wants to see how a 31mm hollow torsion bar in the housing is installed in a car should come. If time allows, we may even try for a 1/2 day engine swap.

I've had the worst timing, was up there last week (Pcarless) and I'm looking to schedule a run up that way for the Saratoga but this weekends weather is keeping the Turbo shacked up.
