I'm always considering new wheels as well, and I just made these pics today.
Here's a number of different Porsche factory rims on a 944:

Most of these can be bought of Ebay as replicas in late offsets (50-65mm). You would have to run approximately 30-40mm spacers (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) for most of these wheels because an 86 944 has early offset (20-25mm).

Honestly I like the fuchs... But I have phone dials so my wheels look extremely dated, when my tires go bald I'll start looking for new ones...

Carrera III's are an excellent choice, just make sure they have elliptical lug nut holes.

Nice car - I really love Zermatt Silver. And I like the black 16" fuchs on that car! But if you really want bigger wheels, I would say 17" or 18" would both be OK. Personally I'd go with 17" because tires are cheaper, and the ride quality can get to harsh with 18" wheels.

Yeah me too...As your track wheels.

Get some 17" or 18"s for the street. I like the 17" 993 turbo twists and the 18" sport designs the best.
