Has anyone else developed a near pathological hatred for their sunroof?

I don't mind mine too much. It hasn't developed and problems (knock on wood). However the rattling gets a little annoying and it would be much nicer if it was glass.

My old 944 had a manual roof and it was easy to removed just the vent feature was ridiculous, you just rest the rear latches in the sunroof rain gutter. It was held down with a leather strap and would still bounce around.

I'm really considering converting mine to a manual set up, but I am also really considering making a carbon fiber sunroof. Has anyone else done this?
