My spare is fiberglass. I know this because one lip is cracked. It is in storage at the moment. I went out to weigh it and remembered it is in the storage locker...

I actually have 3 sunroofs. The original, and 2 spares. One of the spares is from a 87 or 88 924S, and the other from an 87 951. All are the same material.

Any sunroof
Lost my sunroof in a move cause the Clamps weren't engaged. Any chance you would sell a spare guards red exterior and black interior colored sunroof lid?
If not know where to find one?
Thanks Wheeler

I can also say that they are FG, as when i dropped mine on the corner it is 100% fiber glass and the new used one i bought is the same.
As for finding one they are all over eBay and for pretty cheap.

Yes my 924 original panel was also 22lbs / 10kg and the Fibre replacement was 4lbs.
More lightweight body parts fitted here.......

no sunroof, no weight problem
They are definitely a GRP material. I've seen one stripped and another dropped on its corner. not pretty. Still a heavy POS too.
^R, your fibreglass bonnet looks exactly the same as the one on my old CGT replica. I wonder if that's where it originally came from. My CGT rep was imported from the UK in 1989. Besides no sunroof on that car too, the fibreglass bonnet was my other favourite feature of that car.
I wonder how much to ship to NZ...
