Default Coleman Coil Over kits @ $40

Any of you guys have experience with these? I believe the 944 spec racers are running them.

If one of those fits w/o mods then there is no reason that any 944 should be without coil-overs for that price.

Nice find!!! After you factor springs in ($110-$120) Youre still $40 less than GC.

I have an 85.5, and i wanted to convert, I need those perches, and different diameter springs, what else??? How does the smaller spring ride on the top perch? This gives you adjustable ride height, ability to run wider tires??? Anything else?

FWIW I went out and measured an old Koni strut I had, the outer dia of the tube was 2.132", don't think the 2.08" ID will cut it. Make sure to measure yours before ordering.

Does anyone know the diameter of the Sachs?

Riff, are your Koni's the stock or M474 option?

So, 83-86 struts have a strut body o.d. of 50mm ( 1.96"), later cars use a 52mm (2.04") strut body

I wonder if that 50mm includes the 86 turbo? I'll have to measure a set tonight as that price is very good.

Alex-

The Koni's on my shelf are M474 variety. Went and checked an older set of Boges I also have on hand. Those measured 2.131" (54mm) or there abouts depending on where along the barrel the measurement was taken. Even got out my nicer pair of Mitutoyo's to check to see if the other calipers were off, nope they all scaled the same.

The other information about the struts being either 50mm or 52mm could be correct, I do not know. Perhaps mine are different because they are for an S2. One thing, I also measured the ID of a Paragon kit and that was 2.16x" (55mm) and you need a o-ring to make the part seat snugly on the strut body.

Good Luck!
