Hockeydude, sorry about your car. Another victim of the "brown ice".

Yep - my wife was born and raised here. Her parents still live here.

that's a damn shame.

Here's hoping you can salvage enough for some new wheels.

Nelson, Sorry to hear about your mishap. You are the new Rock - without the makeup of course.

sucks. I got to slow down and watcd out more as I also don't have crash insurance and if I crash my 944 I'll also have to part it out and save for another one.

So sorry to see this happen. It's sad, but like others have said, if you can't fix it you can get a lot out of it parting it out.

Really depends on how repairable it is. I brought my 83 "back from the dead" several times out of bare necessity (only had liability on it and cost less to repair than another car).

I'm sure it will all work out for the best!

Sorry to hear that Nelson! It was a nice car in great shape, you should make some decent coin parting it out and be back on track to get a turbo in no time.

Thanks for all of the support, guys. This wasn't how i planned to spend my Thanksgiving break, but it could have been worse... Although i probably won't be able to reach my goal of having a 951 for 944fest '08, there is definetly one in my future...someday!

Nelson

I think you may be surprised....unfortunately most of our cars are worth more apart than together....with a little elbow grease and time you will likely yield more for the parts than had you sold the entire car (and I am sure that I am repeating what's already been said!).

keep your chin up and get the parts sold...there's plenty of us here who you'll be helping and who are happy to pay! Kinda like giving up a kidney!

best

Joe

NELSON!!!....no, that's not fun!!

Sorry to hear about your car. Hopefully you will be able to make enough off of it in parts to pick up a 951 by next spring. Let me know if you need any help pulling the engine or any parts. I'm usually free on the weekends and I'd be glad to help!
