IIRC LINDSEY sells the replacement harness.

thanks, but $130 sounds a bit expensive for me..
I have access to lots of good wire, heat shrink, thermal wrap, etc. All I'm looking for is the connectors

You can get the harness side AMP connectors here:

https://secure7.shoppingcartserver.c...Connectors.htm

But you have to buy everything piecemeal; housing + terminal pins + weather seals. I haven't found the male (sensor side) connectors anywhere except attached to a new sensor. If you need to replace both sides, there's no reason you couldn't use the other design (GM/Packard weatherpack) they will sell you both parts of that one.

The wire that is wrapped around the other 2 is the ground , correct?

There is no insulation around mine, is that normal? Should I just solder onto the new connector or unwind, insulate, then solder?

thanks

I had to repair my connectors too, the one wire that is wrapped around is the shielding part of the harness IIRC. I clipped a new connector off my donar harness and just wired all three together, shielding and all. No issues as of yet. Was a pain working with the shielding though.

why would you use 20 yr old plugs to replace 20 y old plugs? I believe you can get new connectors here: http://www.eagleday.com/electrical.html

+1 but I don't think eagleday does the harness side connectors. I used their injector connectors recently and they are very good quality.

They are made by AMP, I would be interested if anyone finds where we can find the AMP harness side connectors. Lindsey Racing would know, but would they give up the info as they sell the complete harness?
