just curious... so if a calloway goes for $10k how much would just an early 944 go for that had a custom turbo put in that was done in a similar way with similar performance? is the price for the performance or for the rarity?

probably about the same as a regular car....simply because joe mechanic may or may not have known what he was doing when he installed that airplane turbo on his NA, and reliability might be compromised.

this custom 951 car is going for over $40,000, its just done by some joe mechanic in sweden...

since everything is changed out and stripped down on the 951 in the link, why not start with a cheaper 944 then do the same thing and sell it for $41,000 like the joe mechanic in sweden?

that is a fully prepared racecar with EXTENSIVE modifications. it would command quite a sum.

although even if its for sale...doesnt mean anyone will buy.

Even though you guys don't know the guy who built this car, it doesn't mean he is "Joe mechanic"

Sweden is known for one of the craziest car builders in the world, there is NO such thing as "no can do".

What he's asking, and what it actually sells for(if it sells) are 2 different things.

It's often said that you should modify your car to your own tastes and not worry about value, as you won't re-coop your losses when/if you sell it. That why most people say to put the car back to stock, and to sell the aftermarket goodies separately.

Just go to NADA or KBB and figure out the value for your car. Don't forget to check the fields that say "Bigger Turbo", "Bigger Exhaust", "Cool Wheels", "Momo Steering Wheel", "Mandrel Bent Intercooler Pipes", etc....

That kind of wing serves a certain purpose on race-cars and that's too bad if wannabes put those on their Civics and ruin the reputation.

It's not about the looks, it's about purpose and 968 RS wing is a compromise between track and street, this wing creates downforce and that's it's only function.
