Default LC-1 Wideband

I've installed an LC-1 Wideband kit in my turbocharged 944 N/A, I'm currently using the narrowband output to feed my DME and the wideband output feeds my Mafterburner, I have removed my stock O2 sensor. How have others installed their Wideband O2 sensors? do you keep your stock O2 sensor with the Wideband?

Where is the oxygen sensor currently located? On a factory 944 turbo its before the exhaust side of the turbo so its not a good place to put the wideband sensor. Please describe the exhaust on the car.

I shipped out that air intake filter to you yesterday along with the brake bias valve.

I've got the innovate wideband on my car as well but I had a seperate bung welded in so that it is completely independent from the DME.

I've installed the wideband in the stock 951 position on the crossover pipe by the turbo inlet. Why is it not good in that position?

Thanks !!

Yea, I got the bung but I thought my wideband could provide a narrowband signal to my DME. The LC-1 should be able to control the DME but the narrowband signal may need to be adjusted to emulate the stock O2 sensors output.

It's too hot in that location. A narrowband can handle the heat, but not recommended for widebands. Right after the downpipe is usually where people weld in a new bung.

I'm using my LC-1 on my n/a in much the same way. I have the narrowband emulator wire feeding the DME and the wideband wire going to the microsquirt. I don't believe the analog emulator needs any adjustment unless your's didnt get set properly from innovate.

I was wondering where you have your controller. Mines near the S&R sensors and routed down above the WG.

stock 02 on the turbo is in the down pipe IIRC- wideband will not last long in the same location- needs to be about a foot from the back of the turbo from what ive seen.

My controller is inside the car just above the gas peddle, I might have to move it if the my O2 sensor can reach its new location.

I just welded in the new O2 sensor bung on the bend of the down pipe before the cat and installed the wideband O2 sensor, I was lucky to have enough cable to still keep the controller inside the car. I also reinstalled my stock O2 sensor in stock position and reconnected it back to the DME, Ill test the car tomorrow and see how it runs.

Sounds perfect. I wish I could have mounted mine inside, I just didn't want to make a new hole in the firewall.

What hold did you use? I'm getting ready to install mine and don't want to make a new hole either.

I had a hole near the battery that a PO must have used for a big stereo, it was plugged but the perfect size so I unplugged it. I have the controller above the speed and reference sensors and the wiring runs along the firewall in the engine bay to the engine of the hood seal and then up into the fusebox where its wired.

Sorry guys, I made another hole in the firewall !!

I made a hole just over an inch with a hole cutter, the hole is just below where the steering shaft exits the car, the hole is just big enough for the LC-1 O2 sensors plug to get through. It's a bit of hassle making the hole but its a good thing to have if you need to run additional electrical item to the engine bay, I used a nice grommet to fill the hole. By the way, with the controller in the car, there is just enough cable to reach the O2 sensor bung on the curve of the down pipe (about 8"-10" from cat).
