Default fan bearings?

I have the twin six-blade fans on my car and yesterday while they were running it sounded like one had crapped out on the bearings. I disconnected one at a time and determined it was the passenger side fan.

Is there anyone who knows the process of replacing the fan bearings and where to come across those parts? TIA

I suspect they are so plentiful used that few have tried to take a fan motor apart. I've never seen any mention of it done here. Give it a shot and let us know...

nevermind.

fixed it.

It was pretty simple. Pulled the fan shroud from the car, pulled out the culprit fan and removed the blade (hammer and punch to a shaft in the middle). Then flipped the motor over, drilled a very small hole and put some oil in and ran it until it filled up. lol

quiet as a new fan now :]

I have done it before on the early car.
its very easy and where I am there isn't many used parts available.
take the blades off, drill the rivets out, and replace the barring.
replace the rivets with some bolts and you are done.

not sure if its the same on late(6 blade) fans but it works on early ones.
