Question used fan - a small problem

I finally got the radiator fan. It's a used one, but appears in good shape, except the first couple of times I applied voltage, it didn't spin. After that it works fine.
Can I assume it will work just fine? or I should open it an use fine sand paper to polish the electrical contact surfaces? But I worry that it's difficult to put it back together. What do you guys think?

somebody gave it up for a reason.

if voltage doesn't power it immediately, i wouldn't mess with it or use it.

If its been sitting not used for a while, it might have just needed a tap to get things going.

Id run it personally.

Ive had plenty of **** in my life that just needed a tap and would last for a long time. Just like my ex gf!

could just not be getting enough voltage when your testing it- ive tested them before and you have to wiggle the test wires around to get good contact.

sounds like most of you guys think I should use it. There actually is a tiny hole in the housing. Maybe it's for spraying contact cleaner inside?
In any case I'll keep testing for the next few days before I install it.

If it doesn't make any bad noises when it spins, use it. They aren't that hard to change out even if it fails
