Replacement Carpets
Hey All;
Did the search. Nothing much there.
I am looking for OEM quality or better replacement carpets for 944s. I am ONLY interested in top quality stuff for an original look and fit, or better. No chease-ball JC Whitney crap or other ricer garbage.
Anybody have experience in this level of product?

Automobile Atlanta and Automotion/Performance Products are good places to start.
You might still have a hard time finding the cargo carpet with the foam backing, however.
Good luck,
Keith

Take a look at these guys: www.stockinteriors.com
Wow, that's cheap. How does the quality compare to OEM? How different is the color? I'd love to hear some feedback on this.

Contact Rob Budd, he offers carpet sets. If they are anywhere near as good as his leather work, they should be outstanding.

I am tring to put a "Stock Interior's" carpet in now. I guess it's "just OK" for the money. Passenger area is one big piece. Its very hard to get placed right, no holes and alot of trimming. all the pieces have to be trimmed. They put the edging on one of the end pieces on the wrong end. I'll be calling the today to see about a replacement. No snaps, no clips for the rear pieces. I guess I'll try to undo the snaps off the old carpet. All in all it's OK but alot of work and gluing. It's definately not "plug and play".

Hmmm...
Rob Budd only lists 928 stuff. OFI has a LOT of negative feedback. Strike two.
I have a car in the shop now that had a replacement set in it, and they are the cheesiest crappy carpets I've ever seen. Not only is the material garbage, but they didn't fit... not even close. I just don't want to go to the hassle of having to send stuff back.

John, check Rob Budd's site again, it has 944 carpet sets listed below the 911's, I just looked.
[Edit] I just relooked, he only has domestic produced (similar to the German made slivernet) in black.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but for the benefit of us all does anyone know if they are any better these days.

If you want carpet that sucks and is a waste of money get it from www.stockinteriors.com like I did. I will be tossing out my new carpet in a month a two. The stuff suck and is general cut, best bet is to get a set of carpet out of a wrecked car but with low miles otherwise try 944online and give them a call first to see what you thinkg.
