When I first noticed they were on the way out was when I was hearing the rattle at idle. It was only noticable at idle, but once the mount spit out the fluid it got really bad in a hurry. It was rattling really bad when I'd turn over the motor or shut it off and it got so bad that over bumps you could hear and feel the engine moving.

well I paid like 150 bucks for mine from the porsche dealer and they told me they were good mounts.

then I looked online and the ones they dealer gave me are mehle brand and according to pelican these are the 70 dollar U.S ones that are aftermarket according to pelican

now I'm worried that they won't last long.

problem is not only the cost but for me changing the mounts was a bitch to do. I had the crossmember fully out as I also resealed the pan and oil pump.

oh and you know they need to be replaced because the bad ones collapse. My old ones were both collapsed fully.

when I replaced my mount I actually did not notice much of a difference... maybe it's because i have aftermarket ones.
