New Turbo Owner
After joing Rennlist about 4 years ago and enjoying my "S" I've been intrigued with the term "boost". In July, after finally driving a 951, I decided to sell my "S" and go for it.
I sold my "S" on AutoTrader and the same week that it was sold, I saw the turbo that I wanted in Omaha, NE. I bought a one-way plane tickout out there and drove her back to NC...1300 miles in about 36 hours & she ran like a champ!
Specs: 100,000 miles, original paint/interior, complete documentation since new, original window sticker, all original equipment. Exterior & interior are excellent.

I really, really like it! That dash looks crack-free. Is that even possible?
How are you liking the boost so far? I drive an N/A now and I think I would like to get a 951 sometime in the future.

I registered the car and legally have my plates on now but it failed the NC safety inspection because of the dark window tinting on the back hatch and small side windows....there's no tint on driver or passenger windows. It's got to come off to pass inspection.
Comparison between the 951 and my '87 "S"...
My "S" ( was chipped ) felt quicker & easier to rev and was probably quicker right off the line but after that there's no comparison. The 951 is a completely different car IMO. You can immediately feel the lower gearing in the 951. When the boost kicks in you feel like you're on a rocket being launched.
I was looking at some 964's / 993's but for the money that they're asking for those cars, the 951 is a no brainer. I have NO desire for a 911 for the forseeable future...never say never

Peter - I think the 964's are actually reasonably priced. But they do feel sort of old compared to the 944 series. Nonetheless I would still love to have one!!!
