this is not exactly related but...

Is there a difference between 944 n/a headers and 944S or 944S2 headers?

Yes. The main difference on S, S2, and 968 headers is they have 3 bolts at each flange where the 2.5L n/a have only 2. Also the n/a uses flat gaskets for sealing while the others use metal O-rings. They are also bigger diameter.

Cool, thanks!

Got a couple additional questions to toss out there (sorry, didnt mean to thread-jack but the headers for this thread are sold already, and I didnt want to make a new thread... hope nobody minds..?)

I have a set of S2 headers but Im not sure if its worth the effort putting them on. I have an 86 n/a.

How much larger in diameter are the S2 headers from 2.5 n/a headers?

Would I have to cut off the extra bolt flange or will they bolt up to my motor?

Thanks again, and sorry for the thread-jackage!
