Default widebody air vs gtracing

I'm thinking about doing a widebody on my 944.

What do you recommend between the AIR and gtracing peices?

AIR vs gtracing:

I've heard the AIR have better fitment (made from a better 1st generation mold/cast.) AIR rear quarter panels are 3" wider vs gtracing's 2" wider. Front fenders are 1" vs 2" for GT (thinking about using AIR rear and GT front's). With the AIR I know I can run 10" wheels in front and 12" wheels in back so its cheaper to just move my current 10" wheels to the front and then buy only 2 new 12" wheels for the back. AIR is very helpful on the phone answering questions about installation fitment. I've already purchased AIR euro rear bumper and front turbo street lip and they looked great after paint but have not tried to actually put them on the car yet.

I'm also looking for pics of each kit on real cars from different angles. I've done the search on here but havn't seen any pics of AIR widebody cars.

I've also heard of another company named INFINITE FIBERWORKS CO. who has wide body kits and have heard their quality is great, but I don't want a seamless rear quarter panel fused to my rear bumper. I just want the quarter panels for a more stock look. Does anyone know if you can get just the quarters from IFC?

Thanks for reading.

No affiliation, I just ordered some stuff from them and talked to them on the phone a few times. Very nice! They also have a full stainless exhaust system....

I've talked with them too about fixing their broadfoot web site years ago. Seemed like nice people and have some great racing history and experience! I like their widebody cars for sure. I wonder about the fitment and quality of the widebody panels? I don't want the bolt on one's they sell.

I'd be more interested in this kind of widebody kit, but I don't see these for sale on their site:

Im not too keen on the stick on fenders, takes away from the squared off edges. The lines on the 944 flow very nicely together but those "add on" fenders mess that up. But, for a race car it looks okay.

here is my car with gt racing wide body kit...ive got a set of 17x11 wheels that fill up the wheel well nicely ..i will post pics when i get the tires...the only thing im not crazy about was the fitment of the front quarter to the door...the gap is a little wide but for a race car its not a big deal

what size wheels do you have in the front and in the rear? you didn't specify which wheels you to which you were referring...

the front to back gap of the front fender can be adjusted if you look at a lot of 944's you'll see that that gap varies, esp on cars that have had the front fenders replaced.

do you have a direct from rear photo of your car so I can see the dynamics of the flares?

the wheels in the pics are not the wheels i was referring too...i just bought another set of wheels with a better off set for wider cars and havent got tires for them yet...the tires are on order and are 315 30 17's on the rear and 275/35/17 on the front...the black bbs wheels are 16's and the polished fikse's are 18's...i will look to see if there is any room to adjust the fender and cant find any rear pics of the car but i will post some more ..right now the car sits on a trailer and is hard to get to from the back
