Quick release belt covers! It's an idea that pops into my head once in a while and I keep forgetting about it.

Someone wanna fab some up for the 944? Doesn't necessarily need to be a whole cover section, just some method to latch it onto the front.
Hell, it could be something mounted onto the front of the car that just places tension to hold the cover in place, or pins (spring-mounted) that push into the current mounting holes.

 

Running without belt covers is like

Riding a motorcycle without a helmet

Wiping your *** with "just any old leaf" in the woods

Having sex with a hooker without a condom

Yeah, it might work for a while, but Mr. Murphy and Mr. Probability are sitting up and taking notice.

Which is safer ?

No covers, easy inspection every and any time you open the hood.

OR

Belts all covers up and NEVER inspected ( You know who you are )


Now for the dudes that run with covers and inspect on a regular basis

Of course I have less belts than most, no stinking balance shafts
