Default DIY instructions for mirror replacement

Is there a DIY for the removal of the factory 'flag' mirrors.
I recently purchased the black factory cup manual car mirrors and want to remove the existing factory 'flag' electric mirrors.
If anyone has the basic instructions on how to do this I'd really appreciate the guidance.
Thanks in advance and if anyone is interested in purchasing an inexpensive pair of factory electric mirrors (Alpine White) PM me.

Here's the link from Clarks Garage - Thanks JV and SamG

Flip the mirror forwards and it will expose one single allen head screw. Remove the screw and the mirror will lift off the door, cut the wire harness and its free to come off. I highly recommend cutting the wire harness somewhere in the door, basically give yourself enough slack to recrimp the wires if you ever want to go back or sell the mirrors. Unfortunetley you basically need to disassemble the entire mirror to remove the connector from the inside.

Unfortunetly no. It would have made something like the 968 mirror replacement alot easier. Atleast the wiring up part. I never wired mine..mainly because im to lazy to take the door panels off . Why Porsche did it this way sorta boggles my mind. I guess they werent planning on having people replace these as often as we do.

Clark's garage has a procedure to do this. It's not hard to remove the mirror glass and disconnect the haness if you want to preserve it.
