New front seats
Anyone have any idea if a pair of front seats out of an 88 944 would fit into an 84 944 and if the wiring for the motor is just basic like a live wire in and a ground out???
Thanks

Got your PM - looks like they're 8-way power seats (only one lever, right?). Someone correct me if I'm wrong (I've got full manual seats!), but the lever only does the seat back, everything else is electric. I think. All you should have to do is run power.

you can leave the sliders on the new seats, but the late seats have six holes instead of four like the early so youll only use four of the six bolt holes. Not sure if they have the electric but you can get the wiring harness for the seat from someone parting a car and wire it in pretty easily- power and ground to each seat motor.

8 way power seats have NO levers, no way to manually adjust. The only thing manual about them is the handle on the headrest that allows you to fold the seat forward to get to the back seats...
8way = front of seat up/down, back of seat up/down, tilt of seat back foward/back, movement of entire seat forward/back.
