Default Boost Here I Come!!!

So to replace my 924S that was smashed up by a taxi cab, I snagged this little fellow of ebay today.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=280142791860

I talked to the seller on the phone, seemed like a nice guy.

Sent in my deposit and the first chance I get I will be flying in driving her home!

The Cup II's look pretty nice, although the fronts look like they need spacers.
I'm pretty sure Cup II's are 17in and late offset.

The Good:
-Cup II's with new tires
-Lindsey Racing Chips, 3" catless exhaust with a Borla XR-1
-Manual Boost Controller
-Body looks straight
-Tinted Glass
-R-12 A/C works and blows cold
-Timing belt done 10k miles ago
-Odometer works
-I can see Koni Yellows peeking out from under the car in the back

Hopefully Good:
-Car looks like it was recently repainted, notice missing turbo badge and "PORSCHE" script in the rear

Probably Bad:
-White face guages
-Steering wheel
-Shifter
-I can already smell the cone filter sitting on the AFM in the engine bay even though I haven't seen it yet. (I like stock airboxes)
I'm not diggin any of those, but we'll see how it looks in person.

Bad:
-Looks like body has a couple of places where the paint is chipping or cracking, but its had to see where they are from the pics, except the rocker panel

I'll probably keep my 951 fuchs from the 924S and buy winter tires for them.
That means shortly I will be selling a set of straight cookies with Michelin Pilot Alpins (snow shoes).

I can't wait for the adventure home!

Looks like you got a GREAT deal. The drive home is going to be fun. I had a blast driving my S from New Mexico to So Cal... and it wasn't in nearly as nice of shape.

Better put some kind of different wheels on there, or tires atleast. Front tires are different than the rears (which are Yokohama ES100s, that are hardly even considered a 'well' handling tire, great for rain though). New tires around may be true, but atleast they could have matched them.

The script seats are a bonus. They'd look awesome recovered. I'd love to have a set.

All in all, looks decent, but does need some work from looking at the pictures (interior wise, maybe motor). Judging by the price and the pics, you didn't do too bad. I have seen people pay much more for cars in a lot sadder shape.

Welcome to the club. You need to post this in the turbo forum too. Looks like a nice car at a great price.
You need to turn the boost down as that is too much for a stock 951 if it hasn't had its headgasket replaced. You might want to monitor your air/fuel ratio or car won't last long unless it has good (951max or vitesse) chips.

Thanks everyone!

I was definitely going to turn the boost down for the ride home. Don't want to take any chances.

I probably won't turn it back up until I see what injectors I got and get an air/fuel monitor.

I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like put any, or the correct spacers on for those wheels. it's an early offset car with late offset wheels so he would need the correct spacers.

Look at the front wheels, they look like they are set too far in, late offset wheels do need spacers on early offset car to look right....

Nothing, just not my style. Depends on how they look in person, especially at night.

Howdy Sam!

Airflite, they are easier to read at nite. Looks like your PO put the better ones in there that didn't have the strange cut-outs. You will probably like them. IMHO.
