Default Somebody Kill me now - I Wuz ROCKED!

Tonight, I have a glorious new hole in my car.

No I dont mean Elton Johns buttcheeks, im talking about something way younger and way easier to get into.

Yes, tonight I was going through a car wash and I went to the dryer blower thing. All was well until the rear window came flying into the front window, leaving a nice hole in the top yet once again.

So i've gone through 2 tops in 11 months of ownership. Damn. A mild rant, as I now need to know

WHO HAS A TOP FOR SALE!??!?!?

Never take a cabriolet through the car wash, the soaps and waxes are bad for the top.
If it's just the back window, you can have a shop re-sew it or you can do it yourself. I did mine 3 times trying to prolong the inevitable replacement.
Also, there is a guy on ebay that list new tops for $400 but I have no idea of the quality. I've been waiting for someone on here to buy one...
Good luck..

Well its not just the windows thats busted, this top went through some crap that made it all busted. But maybe fixable, howver i do have a 2nd top with a nearly perfect window. how much would a shop charge to resew a new window in?

Not sure in VA, but here I had a couple shops quote me $250-350. I resewed mine since I knew I was going to replace it anyway, it was not hard with the top off. I followed the previous holes and it held for another year until I popped it again pressing to hard trying to get something off the plastic.

Also, you can pick up some plexus plastic wax and it will clear up the cloudiness.

you may get a better deal my going to a boat repair place. The often have to sew plastic windows back into covers, sails and such.
