If that's the case, then I think you did a really good job. If the title is clean, then you really SHOULD swap out all the parts from the one you have in the garage which overheats.

It's very simple logic.

You buy the cars because you want to save them, and you enjoy the experience you get when you buy another one (I've gone through the same thing in the past with Fieros). But, you have two cars, each of which need help. You can make one really nice one, and have one that needs lots of work.

IMHO, make one awesome car, and sell the other one for parts on eBay.

Otherwise you'll dump TONS of money into both of them, and still have (at least of the two) two sub-par condition vehicles.

By the way, there is a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado Trafeo Deluxe with a 425 cubic inch big block in the local junkyard. The motor is complete, and it's just BEGGING to go into your Oldsmobile Cutlass. It's got "C" heads, a "D" block (which has the forged crank and forged rods).

This is in my 81 Trans Am (well... it will be): 1969 Oldsmobile 455 big block with .030 overbore TRW forged pistons, Joe Mondello 20-22 cam, 2.07:1 intake, 1.72:1 exhuast stainless steel exhaust valves, "C" heads, "K" Toronado intake, and I've fabbed the valve covers to accept the "49-50" Oldsmobile wire looms.

2002 Ford Crown Victoria LX-P74
1987 Pontiac Fiero SE / V6
1984 Porsche 944
1981 Pontiac Trans Am (Olds 455)
1973 Volkswagen Type-2 Transporter

Ok.. now you are teasing me...LOL...
I bought my first 71 Cutlass Convert. in 1984. My ex gave it away during the divorce...
So I took the parts car and am keeping it well hidden until I get the porsche adiction under control LOL.....

Are the AFM and the DME similar on an 8V and a 16V or are they totally different?
Just curious since I got some spare AFM / DME stuff laying around. I think they are from an 86 but I need to check....
