Default Ohioans heading to the fest...

How plausible is it to get from
1)Nelson Ledges on Saturday afternoon to
2) Cedar point for sunday of Roller coasters, to...
3) Dayton by dinner on sunday?

I'm planning my return from 944fest...

Nelson ledges to cedar point will take approx 1.5 to 2 hrs to drive to.
Cedar point to Dayton is about a 3 hr drive

Problem is that you'll never get out of Cedar Point (long lines, too many coasters) to make the drivre to Dayton in time. Fred

I'd give yourself over 2 hours between Nelson and Cedar Point. The good part, the Ohio Turnpike, (an awesome road) is a great run between the two. Watch out for the staties, that is their turf.

Last year Saturday eve was quite tame. After the prizes, etc you could probably sneak out around 9 and be in a hotel by Cedar Point's front door well before midnight. Snag 8 hours rest and be number one in line for the best stuff, and beat the crowds. By 3pm you could be headed south to Dayton having ridden a dozen coasters, and be there by 6ish.
