did you install the 993 clear corner lenses, or are there some phantom ones meant for the 968 I'm yet to find?

So how does the new car look?

I'm in Daly City so if you want to bring the car by sometime Arash and I could give it a look to see if there are any issues with it.

Sounds good to me! Let's all get together somewhere (probably Chris' house is better, but you are more than welcome here). It's good to have another local 968 owner.

To answer your question, I have done no test of any kind. I may be wrong about it, but on paper it looks to me like flow rate won't improve with holes. If you're referring to that PDF article about the airbox mod, I read that too and it makes some good points, like it will utilize the filter much better. At any rate, if you want to do the mod it's all good, I did too! Just saying before you cut yours, I wanted to offer to trade with you.

Please post up some pics when you get a chance! From your avatar, it looks like it's black or midnight blue.

just got home from picking up the car... drives great. Feels like it needs a new steering rack bushing... it's a bit loose.

ebrake needs adjusted as well... other than that, it drives great.

I suppose it could use a short shifter or something... it's much looser and longer throws than I'm used too

that said, I am coming from a honda that has extremely precise steering and a razor sharp shift linkage with very short throws.

I would like to do the air box mod, so a trade would work nicely.

a few pics

Bushings on the shift linkages are known to wear over time in these cars. New bushings should tighten things up.

Nice! Looks like midnight blue... very sleek. The steering system on a 968 is pretty good but it can be made more precise with some goodies. It could be that there's something broken or worn out though. The castor blocks on 968s go bad fairly often, especially on the right side, since PS fluid leaks right onto them.

I can help you tune it up / check it over.

I think I could run a lap (like actually run) faster than both of your cars. Hurry up and get them working again!

Roger, I'll be there saturday to do the turbo, but I can't get there until like 1pm. This guy in Sac is selling me wheels and he agreed to meet me in vacaville, but at noon on saturday.
