Finally getting a 968... what mechanical work should I do off the bat?

LMAO

Let's see... tension the timing belt, install the turbo (never done that before), intake, some loose hoses/misc stuff... overall I don't think I can get it done in one day, since we'll be starting at 1pm. Maybe I can do all the hard stuff then you can wrap it up sunday morning then drive it over in the afternoon. I'm always down for a car party, any time of day.
