Tire Size question
Hi All,
(I already tried searching for this answer and did not find it).
I recently biught a 1986 951 as to mainly use on the track. Its a 2.8L stroker with a K27 turbo, ltd slip and konis. It also has the OEM 16" wheels (fluks sp?).
I am looking to replace the current tires with somthing more aggresive and am having a hard time with tire sizes. I am looking to put - Falken Azenis. However, they are not available in the front stock size - 205/55/16. These are the options I have -
205/40R16
215/45R16
225/50R16 (this is OEM rear size too).
Any suggestions on what i can do? Or should I give up this tire option and go to somthing else that has more choice?
thanks for your help.

Any chance you afford larger wheels?
Newer Porsche wheels can be fit with spacer allowing you to run wider 17" wheels and get more rubber under the car.
If you can, check www.wheelenhancement.com
If you plan to keep the wheels you have (fuchs), go with the correct tire for the size wheel. Going too wide will cause wear issues.

You can use most 17" & 18" 50-65mm ET wheels with 1" to 1 1/2" spacers. The most aggressive sizing being Front 18x9 ET 52mm with 1" inch spacers. Rear 18x11 ET 45mm 1/4 spacer or no spacer (depends).
