I actual have a client (I do design work) who goes out there all the time, so I would have him take it- sorry!. If anyone wants to see, and no I am very busy, so this is not a plug, the link is here: http://www.empirens.com/dev/edrans/

Not my best work, but I think it turned out pretty well.

Rob, do you think you could stitch the leather together beforehand in a sort of prepared DIY kit? If you have a template of the dash do you think you could make more pieces, attach them and have them ready to put on a dash and secure?

If so, how much do you think it would run for just materials and the attachment labor? (No installation)

I have the cover for sale separately on my website. It comes with the foam underlayment, but not the defroster vent trim. It sells for $399 in vinyl.

I'm not sure what you mean by "make more pieces". My cover is already completely sew together.
I have patterns for the speaker, no speaker, and a dual gauge pod in place of the speaker.

Rob

Are the kits you sell already sewn? Or is that part of the DIY thing?

How much more would it cost for you to sew them together before shipping?

Ok thanks...in the original post (pre-edit) it sounded like the pieces were separate. Thanks for the help, you'll probably be hearing from me soon

It depends on the size of the crack, how deep, where it is etc.
I use several different types of fillers.
Bondo
SEM Flexible polyester putty
Carbo fill
Polyurethane fillers and Epoxy fillers.

The object is to get a durable surface that matches the surrounding area.

Andy, this is not why PM was invented. PM was "invented" to send messages that you do not wish to share with the general populous. This information, I have found very helpful, and I would suspect that others have too. That my friend, is why they "Invented" Message boards!

Have a nice day.

super-dead thread revival

im considering the speaker delete when i recover my dash. however im concerned about the central mounting point that normally is accessed by removing the speaker grille. it would take some fancy fingerwork to get the nut on the stud because youd be going in through the ac vent hole...can the dash be securely mounted without this middle point? how has this been addressed?
