Default Supercharging a 944. Anyone done it...

any info you can provide would be a real help. I am posting this for a young fella in my office who has an 89 he'd like to get a bit more out of.

Thanks

Rolo,
You can contact bluecamaro, he did his S2 last year. It's really a lot of work for questionable gains unless it's a rare package deal. Here's a pic of Dan's S2 conversion.

search is too vague.

You have to point him so he can regurgitate what he finds.

Rolo, try this -Search:
supercharge
turbocharge a NA
ring and pinion
renegade conversion

be careful though, i think some tree hugging liberals chimed in on a few of those topics so the information may not be too accurate.

Hey Rolo, while I wouldn't recommend it on 8-valve cars, if done right, and the air fuel ratios balance, it can be pretty reliable and powerful. The 16-valve 944s seem to get the most out of it.

Take your whiney liberal *** over to off topic and I'll be over there in a month or so to pull your chain

To the rest of you. Thank you very much.

OT is OT, why be such a PIA when he asked a simple question on a tech forum. Did Rolo offend you with his question? Do you sleep with loaded guns or something?

I gave him the search terms he needs. He can get all the power he wants, but it aint gonna do much good if the r&p isnt there.

and what i sleep with is nobodys business. Note i said what, not who. marriage does that to a guy.

Hey Rolo - slumming with the 4 bangers

That picture is the Huntley Supercharger setup (Huntley is long gone). If I ever get my hands on one of those intakes I'll supercharge my 944S. Since I've been table to take my 81 928 from 160rwhp to 350rwhp without making any engine changes, supercharging the 944S would be a lot of fun!!

I'm not a big fan of the eaton style / twin screw superchargers as shown in that picture. But it's the only way to supercharge a 944 & still keep the A/C.
