Looks pretty good! I'd be a little worried about how well the plasti-dip would hold up, tho.

BB.

If it scrapes or peels or something, I just shake up a can and spray a fat coat right over the problem area. I'll update on the plastidip thread how the paint holds over time.

Looks pretty good in the pics. Especially for $25. Take a pic of you car at speed to see if it folds under as that stuff is pretty flexible. I initially used something softer, and I found it folded up under the car at 200kph. I reinforced it with some thin aluminum strips.

Looks good, butters, but your paint needs a buffing & wax

alordofchaos, that isn't possible. Originally sienna red, it is a really old cheapy maaco paintjob on there right now that was a terrible job, I've buffed it out but at this point any more buffing and the dark red shows through, so I'm dealing with this haha. Wax only lasts a week before its chaulky again, so whatever.

Update: within the first week I bottomed out the whole thing in phoenix BUT it did its job PERFECTLY. It protected the valence from damage and stayed on perfect, just scraped off a bunch of the plastidip. Yesterday I took 5 minutes to shoot more plastidip over the scraped parts, used maybe 1/5 a can, and looks good as new again I like the fact that I can consider the lip disposable cause it was so cheap, I dont have to worry too much about anything.

Here's pics of the damage:

No point in fixed pictures, it looks like new lol. The texture isn't smooth anymore but you can't notice.
