Default 924 availibility?

Hi all,
I own and 83' 928 "S" but I'll be going off to college soon. The 928 is my baby and I don't want anyone bruising it up in a parking lot. Also the 928 is not so good on gas. What I'm looking for is a 924 with a solid running powertrain for a decently low price. I'd actually prefer the car to be a little beaten on the looks department so it isn't vandalized. I have fallen in love with the 80's Porsche's and would just like a little more reasonable.

Also, I've been looking around I can't find 924 practically anywhere. I'm in Illinois near Chicago so let me know if you spot anything of intrest.

Tony
