Are you not going to do a 16v turbo after all?

No, I am, I have another block which is being sleeved, and we're using aftermarket pistons/rods. I'm keeping the head, it's a SHORT BLOCK not a long block

If someone will take this off my hands this week I'll do $500 + shipping with everything mentioned in the first post, plus the motor mount arms and oil pump. I've found a 1995 BMW 5 series wagon I'd like to buy as a new daily and I want to free up some funds first.

Out of curiousity...can that block, if 2.7, be fitted with a 8v head?

The block can be fitted with an 8v head, but it's a 944S, 87-88, so it's a 2.5L anyway. You would need different pistons to fit an 8V head.
