FS: OMP racing seats - *feeler*
I bought a set of black OMP racing seats for my 951 a few months back from another 'lister. Not sure of the model, but they have bottom mount sliders, and the passenger side is reclineable while the driver's side is fixed. I'm not sure I like the current mounting/seating position and I'm considering selling these for what I paid ($500) and getting something with a side mount that might be a little more adjustable. Any interest?
I have about 100 miles on the driver's seat and have not yet installed the passenger seat.

How tall are you? Do you have problems hitting the roof liner with a helmet on? I was originally planning on getting side mount seats in hopes of getting as much clearance as possible, but i recently sat in Z-Man's car with bottom mount recliners and realized i had about 2-3 inches with helmet on of clearance. I read alot of things about people loosing head space with aftermarket seats, thats really what scared me.
Do the seats sit higher, lower or the same as stock seats?

I'm right at 6' and my helmet does brush up against the sunroof clips. It didn't with the stock seats, but I sat a little bit more reclined and no further back. I do tend to sit a little closer than some because I "feel" the pedals a little better. The previous owner of the seats told me he was fine with a helmet on and he was right around 6' also.

Sterm, thanks for answering all the questions. I am going to pass. I am about the same height as you and also sit pretty close. So i dont want to take any chances. One thing i noticed with Z-Man's car is i sat much lower than with my factory seats. To the point i couldnt see the hood over the dash, which i am normally able to do with my stock seats.
5speed300, i think Z-Man either has a Konig or Recaro recliner in his car.. i cant remember which it was.

No problem, the seats were as described, just not for me as they sit I guess. If I keep them, I'll figure out another way to mount them.

Autopower bolt in roll bar with a bar welded it for proper shoulder harness mounting.

i have a recaro SPD would you be interested? i am just about 6'1 and just brush the roof with my helmet. You cannot adj the hight on them??

I'm looking for a pair if I replace these OMP seats. I'd prefer to sit a touch a lower, or slightly more reclined. I think I need to get a seat with sound mount plates, the other dimensions of my current seats are perfect.
