Default Quick Question (fuel cut-off switch - RV)

When delving into the redline on my early '44, the car suddenly jerked forward like it does when you let off the gas completely in a low gear. I'm wondering if these cars have fuel cut-off switches at ~6400RPM?

If it's the revlimiter you'll also def hear the engine bounce off it.

Chip it and the limiter will go away. That doesn't mean revving it higher is ok though.
