Default Finally getting that Porsche respect

I stopped by a gas station near my house in an intersection to fill up, and a lady in a caddy drove up behind me normally and after inspecting my car, asked if she pulled up too close...lol Then after coming out of the store after paying some old guy said "thats a brand new car, one of those Porsches.. isn't it? Not wanting to ruin the moment I agreed. But yeah, I think I'll enjoy getting a little bit more respect around here.

Here's a few pics, but keep in mind that its been vacuumed since then, not to mention the calipers have been painted yellow.

Those clouds in the back eventually became a tornado somewhere, it was really coming down a hour later.

Can't see it on here, but there's a tiny crack in the dash, and that's about it.

So what sort of autox events or 'get togethers' come up around here? I'd really like to learn how to drive like a lot of you do, or at least start practicing.

Yeah, that jumped out at me too!

Personally I've been a bit disappointed by how little 'spect I been gettin', and 98% of it is from the sound of the engine rather than the looks of it.

Then again it has very little in the way of Porsche insignia (but I've ordered a hood seal and a couple of decals) ...

I'd like to paint the PORSCHE letters on my spoiler...what color would work nice on a mahogany brown car? I want the world to know what kind of car this is from behind. (sticker under the taillights is messed up)

I got to go out in the Porsche tonight...I got a lot of looks, a lot of "NICE CAR MAN!!" and about 15 idiots either wanting to race me, have me burn out, or just take off really fast...

Oh yeah, I've been getting the "let's race" thing from day one, it's pretty damn idiotic.

Actually makes me feel kinda old ...

The only person wanting to race so far was when i came onto the interstate, when some kid with his girlfriend came up beside me in a ninety-something eclipse staring me down with the usual "lets race" look. Not to mention going about 90 or so and sporting the generic fart-tip.. Like I'm going to give him the satisfaction of saying he raced a Porsche.

I just noticed I called that guy 'kid' when he was probably several years older than myself...

I gave a guy a ride home from one of my classes the past week. His first reaction was "Wow, I've never been in a Ferrari before! how do you keep this safe on campus??" LOL XD

This is AFTER I had to open and shut the passenger door for him, as the factory weld has busted a bit, making it hard to close from the inside. Great stuff!
