Default What's this?

The light in my garage died today while I was fiddling around putting back on my newly painted wiper arms. When I looked back down, I looked into the space where the centre speaker grille should be (new, unmolested one is on its way) when I saw this little red light blinking at me.

It doesn't worry me, but I'm just wondering if anybody else noticed this thing before and maybe has a clue what it is?

It's clearly a bomb.

Do you have an alarm system?

I've no clue if there's an alarm or not, to be honest. There's a window sticker for one, but I can't be sure.

If there is an aftermarket alarm, look at your battery, there should be a small wire(16 GA) connected to the battery with a fuse on it.(thats how mine is anyways)

I think you have the HAL option. Your car may start talking to you. Soon after it usually goes crazy and tries to murder you.

HAL always creeped me out a bit

Nothing hanging off my battery. No funny wires hanging around the place. I just don't know :/ Oh well, doesn't seem to be doing anything horrible.

DONT TRY TO DISCONNECT IT, It may say this to you!!
"I know you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen."
"Dave, although you took thorough precautions in the pod against my hearing you, I could see your lips move."

That's the light the little gremlins that live inside Porsche's wear. It's probably down there screwing something up. That way you'll have another excuse to fiddle with your car.

Isn't that about where the radio would be? Could it be a light on the front of it?

It's not where the radio is, and it's definitely not a backlight for any gauges. It flashes about twice every second. Strange strange little thing.
