Default fun little twisty

Every now and then i'll jump on Google Maps and take a look at various roads in my area..

I couldn't help but laugh when i found this. I was actually looking for the Mount Tam Road.

This road is located in Marin County, it starts in Fairfax, CA and ends on Highway One.

Anyone else feel like posting a map of their favorite route?

Awesome. In Ill-annoy, the only twistys we have are when you try to avoid hitting potholes.

Thats a VERY fun drive. I usually take that road, then continue up Highway 1 past Point Reyes Station to Marshall. I last drove it two years ago, and the pavement was new and smooth. Tam is really cool too. I drive those everytime I visit family in Kentfield in Marin.

Wow, that's kind of freaky lol...you can see my old girlfriend's green Beetle in the driveway, and my 944 next to it in the shade.

And I think I see myself sitting in one of the chairs in back.

That road looks like a blast!

Here's an image of the road that 'Wipeout' and I take to work everyday. Not even close to that route in Cali.. but this is an every day drive and it ends up making a commute a hello of alot of fun. The most forested section is called 'forest park'.. it's an actual city park with loads of hiking, running, and Mountain biking trails. Lot's of elevation gain/loss from skyline drive down to the river.

This is the best road near me... May not look like much but there's no way you're going to maintain the 55mph speed limit.

Oh, almost forgot this one. 55mph again, though I probably can do ~20mph at the most around a few of the hairpins.
