Deer creek canyon road... a lot tighter than this makes it seem... a hell of a lot of fun, and there's rock walls, so don't f*ck up...

This thread reminds me of this great site i found a while back. It's for motorcycles but like that matters. The site has a list of user submited great roads to cruise. Pretty informative and interesting.

Trucho

Infineon is one sweet track, especially in a 944.

Yeah, I especially like it during the all Porsche weekends, last October I found myself in an ocean of race preped Porsches, it was a blast. There is one thing I don't like about Infineon, they have nicknamed Turn 8a "the Porsche corner", and it is not a complement.

8a wasn't so bad for me. I find the long, elevation changing sweeping turns (6 at Infineon and 9 at Laguna Seca) hard to dial in the line; maybe it's because you're charging downhill at the limit.

HPDE is a great way to (relatively) safely explore the limits of your car. The instincts of driving on the street are hard to forget when you are on the track.

Thanks, Mike. You've complimented me before, it's nice to know i have a track capable 16 year old garage queen. Not bad for the 7th (and final) owner.

I would love to drive Pacifica to Carmel sometime, it is an incredible drive! Too bad im in Texas now!

I think some of the cars in Carmel and Pebble Beach might easily top ours on H-1 though.... lol
