Dan,

Yes, that is rt 13 out of Caz. Great and very scenic road. Fairly short though, but still longer than 13 curves.

Gulf road is about 1 mile from my house in Chittenango. It comes south off rt 5 right near the intersection with rt 290. It's a seasonal-use-only road though, so it's not well marked, and you need to be careful of downed trees your first trip up/down the hill.

The track is Nelson Ledges, home of 944 Fest '06 and '07.

I just had to play:

Never been on this road, even though it's not too far away from my folks' house. The picture gave me the giggles.

EDIT: It's about a 7 mile stretch.

Couple of my favorites

This one runs about 15-20 miles.
Pine tree lined with slight up hill grade.

Route 89 on the way to Prescott

This one is the Grand Daddy of all Az roads.

It does not look like much since it is 150 mile loop. Start at Cliffon at 3500ft. Climb up 191 to Alipine at 8000 ft. Distance is about 65 miles and you would be happy to make the run in less than 90 mintues.
Here is nice sample of one of twisty bits about 2/3 of the way to Alpine

Then you can run from Alpine to Luna more relaxed cruise and then down to Glennwood and Mule Creek in New Mexico. Problem is that it takes 4 hrs from Phoenix just to get to Clifton. Then you need another 3hrs to cover the 150 miles or so. That alone makes it a once a year type deal. Winter time the area is no go since 191 gets closed down when it snows. They simply don't both to plow it.

1 1/2 hrs south of methrough the rainforest again. Temp drops at least 10C on the road under the trees.
Be aware that all these roads are 1 lane each way with limited overtaking spots.

hey, I am from marin and HIGHLY sugest this road, please drive it! (you will notice this road is in a new mazda commercial after you are done) ther are some roguh spots, but crazy turns..

the roads around marin are great, I personally like to loop from north marin/nicasio resevior area into bolinas and then back out through stinson to the 2am club way (i do not now the name of this road, but if you are from marin you will know)
an 86 turbo buddy of mine try to frequent this area when I am back in town,, I even lost the turbo once in my mirrors on the climb out of stinson, once,,,

report back, drive hard,, ( there is less/no traffic at night...)

Time to get some Ohio action. For those of you who think Ohio is only flat, boring cornfields, I present to you OH 536. This road would be about 10 miles long as the crow flies, but it can take 45 minutes to drive its entire length from OH 78 to OH 7 (two more incredible roads). Much of Appalachian Ohio is close to this, but this road is insane. Semis are not allowed at all. Ohio only has 800 feet of elevation change across the whole state, but you get it all here -- many times over.

I don't think this one has been listed yet. It's Deals Gap aka The tail of the dragon. It's south of knoxville tennesee. Never done it, but my grandpa did on accident...
