1) front+rear bumpers in fiberglass;
2) hood in fiberglass/CF;
3) front fenders in fiberglass/CF;
4) fiberglass doors
up to this point, the car is still perfect in everyway and it keeps it's whole interior; and this is the plan for my car - after that, lighter battery and wheels, and getting rid of back seat with some kind of seat delete (maybe custom?)
up to this point the car is show ready and has lost some decent amount of weight
the easiest things to do are to start gutting the car: getting rid of interior pieces etc, I would rather start with this, then weight it and see where it's at, then decide on what to do next (gutting interior or not)

when I think of weight reduction to the body, I think of:
1) front+rear bumpers in fiberglass;
2) hood in fiberglass/CF;
3) front fenders in fiberglass/CF;
4) fiberglass doors

Do not advise on FRP doors on a street car. If you do, you need a properly fabricated full cage.
There are door beams inside the doors to protect you in the event of an accident. While they are not huge...they do help.
just an FYI.

I didn't really think of that; but with all that weight off the car, cage would be allright (we were just talking about weight savings

Does anyone have experience on these manufacturers for making fiberglass hoods
- AIR
- Gettydesign
- V-Zweeden?
Is there any fitment problems when replacing the stock hood with fiberglass one? Any problems with engine heat generation (might damage the paint?)

back seat
spare tire
rear sound deadening
steering wheel
hatch motor
sunroof motor
head light motor
AC
Power steering
switched to optimum Bat
power antenna
charcoal filter
my plan with the body is
bumpers (done)
GT hatch (working on it, talk about a hard fit)
FG fenders
FG hood
fuschs wheels( own but look like ****)
thats all i can think of right now but i am sure there is more i have lost during the rebuild
if any can think of any thing else you can lose plz post
just remember FG is not the stock body panel so it will always be rough around the edges unless you are a pro body guy
for me how the car drives if more important then how it looks IMO

i have bin trying to get a list together but i still need to weight a few more thing that have bin stored away in my attic theres a note pad in my shop with most of it written down
i would guess i am into the three hundreds
its hard to know unless i get the car weighted and i dont really know of a good place to do that other then at a junk yard
