You mean that higher-than a motorcycle whine coming from 1.5L worth of 8 cylinders churning at 15,000RPM?

What the hell flowmaster is that! I have a Super 40 with a resonator on mine and it doesn't sound anywhere near as that (probably because of the resonator.

That car idles like a funny car!

Dan, you mentioned the bad sound reproduction from your audio / video source so how does your set up compare with Airflite's B&B set up from page 1?

Would you say the Dynamax addition is on par with the original cat as far as reducing volume?

The B&B set up sounds / looks great but the Borla price is very attractive.

I would say mine is a lot louder with a lot more midrange audio sound. The only thing the audio from the digi cam is missing is the really deep bass that i get at idle.

I would say the dynomax is louder than the original cat. like 60-70 percent as effective at reducing volume. But that was the sound i was going for. Loud pipes save lives.....

Thanks. So a Borla XR 1 with the original cat would produce a more robust exhaust note vs stock without being excessive loud?

Wish those Borla exhaust links still worked

Has anybody used one of the Borla Turbo or Turbo XL muff's? I had one on a former car and i really liked it, but unfortunately they don't seem long enough, unless I get the XL.

Is the XR-1 that much louder than the Turbo/Turbo XL?

dunno how much louder the Xr-1 is compared to the turbo mufflers. But i can say that the xr-1 is marketed as a racing muffler. Where the turbo mufflers are for street use. That has to be worth something.

Hi guys,
I am new to the ennlist forum. I am have a 91 944s2 Cab and am looking to upgrade the sound of my exhaust to a more manly tone. the xr-1 sounds fantastic but have not seem any out here. Do you guys recommend it? The car is stock with 80,000 miles or so. Also what is a sfr exhaust?

Thank for your help

1988 924S
10.2:1 high compression pistons
stock airbox
stock air filter
A/C delete
cat-delete
2.25" cat-back tubing size
Magnaflow muffler (unknown model)

It's much louder in person than in the vids, but not all that bad when cruising, or under 1/4 throttle. Full throttle, above 2.5k-3k or so, it gets REALLY loud.

BIG THANKS TO MICHAEL (NINEFOFO) FOR HOOKING ME UP!!
