Angry Fire sale

Well after years of yearning, months of work, new parts and ready to be licensed my car decided to have burp some fire. Looks like one of the fuel injectors leaked. Something decided that it just wanted to give up and catch fire in the engine compartment.

So, looks like I am going to get rid of my baby. She's up for sale to anyone who wants to come and get her and part her out.

She has LSD, 15" Fusch & Pirelli P4000's, all leather (front and back) but the driver seat could use being redone, Blaupunkt tweeters, black & tan carpeting, bunch of misc. new parts & some others sitting in the garage. It has an Alpine DVD & Kenwood 4.5" LCD that can stay in the car if someone wants to pay for them. Otherwise, anyone on here can have her for $1500 out the door.

Pictures before the fire are at: http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s...ervertech/944/

Anyone who wants it come and get it. would like to get rid of her in a week.

Doesn't look all that bad. lots of smoke and some obvious rubber melted. electrics still worked cause I was able to pop the rear hatch open. Was able to get to the fire extinguisher within 20 seconds so I was able to get it out fast. Sucks but not much I can do. Could be an easy restore for someone, or could add some nice parts to someone elses car.

Dan - Just tightend down the hatch with your new pins....what a difference it makes. I'm only 10 hours from Tyler, TX. Come on up, I'll even pay for your hotel room if you wanted crash in St. Louis for a night.

Is the engine totaled? If not, why not try and fix it? I'm sure it shouldn't be THAT hard if you stopped the fire quickly..

It's not that bad now that I have had a shot of tequilla & calmed down. Not fun to watch your car catch fire.

I have some pics that I will put in my photobucket. Doesn't look like it was the injectors. Looks like it was the fuel hose to one of the dampers. Like all fires it looks worse then it is. Lots of smoke. Vacuum hoses & speed/ref sensors took the brunt of it.

Just a GUESS, but since the electrics worked I'm going to say it could just need some new vacuum hose & new sensors. Funny that I was going to do the speed sensor next weekend.

In St. Peters I am off of Jungerman, between hwy 94 & mexico road.

Just glad it didn't happen when my son was in the car with me today.

Yesterday, replaced the ODO gear. Today, replaced the front struts/springs with some I had as spares.

Let me know what I can do to help you get it fixed - I don't want to see another one bite the dust.

BTW, Texas is a big place - it would take me all day just to get to Tyler.........

So far it just looks like speed & ref sensors & a vacuum kit from Lindsey.

If you have a spare pride send it my way, could use one. Still too scared to even try and start her up. Dont want to see her go either, but at least I know she would find a good home on here. I refuse to put it up on ebay.

Psh, we all know that there's only one city in Texas, and that's Dallas. And the only reason that city is there is because a bunch of Cowboys decided to live there
