Default Modded '88 944S FS Feeler - $6500 - EDIT

Over the past couple of days, I have been throwing around the thought of selling my 944S. I'm just trying to see if their is any interest in it, because for the right price, I would sell it. The list of info, mods, and extras:

Car:
1988 Porsche 944S - 167K miles, 135K on engine
I have a COMPLETE documented history of the car. The orignal owner sold it to his son in law, and he sold it to me (3 owner car). All major services were done in late '04 to early '05. I bought the car in APR '05.

Engine:
Recent rebuild (summer '04)
Head refresh (fall '04)
13K miles since last timing belt change

mods:
Custom powder coating via 944owdercoating.com w/ JagEng lettering
SFR full SS exhaust - $1450
Stahl Header - $980.... has extra ports for wideband and egt sensors
SFR Custom MAF - $350 (I still have AFM)
Maxtronic w/ 944SMAX V12...... custom tuned for current upgrades - $450
Zeitronix Wideband w/ LCD Display, vacuum sensor, egt sensor - $585
New Lindsey Racing silicon Vacuum lines

suspension/wheels/brakes:
26.8mm front sway powder coated red
18mm rear sway powder coated red
Autopower Rollbar powder coated red
Factory 996 turbo twist wheels powder coated red w/ black lip
Rennbay/Wilwood Big Brake kit w/ X-10 Street pads - $820

Interior:
BRAND NEW - Corbeau Forza seats w/ sliders - $549
Rear seat delete
sound deadening and other mterial as been removed, and carpet has been layed back down, to make it street legal.

Their are a bunch of "extras" that would go wih the car as well....

I've had the opinion that this car can blow away a stock S2. I let Rennlist member "FSAEracer" have a go with it earlier today and it blew him away. To say he was impressed is an under statement.

I have spent countless hours tuning, datalogging, and dyno-ing this car. It is a VERY fun car!

Like I said before, this is just a feeler post. I may sell, for the right price, but I just wanted to see if their is any interest.

Talking

I would NOT get rid of this car...especially after all the work you've put into it....unless you want to sell it and move onto another project

yeah, i think it's time to move on. I originally prepped it for the PCA Chesapeake AutoX point series, but when i found out i wouldn't be able to do it.... well, it's been eating me up. It's a VERY fun car, but I won't get to use it for what I wanted.

: (( Just dont sell it to some boy-racer who will send it to it's demise. No price is the right price when a car-abusing domaas is trying to buy it. Sounds like a very nicely done 944S. I would be interested if I wasn't engulfed in my own 944 projects.

You can't sell that until I see a 200whp dyno sheet.

It's taking up a lot of time i don't have have. Like yesterday for example, i had some custom things I wanted to try out, and dyno time reserved.... but ended up doing nothing because the local shop pissed away my time. It could have been time i could spend with my family. Lately, i've felt like i've been neglecting them... this try for 200whp won't stop until i get there... and then what? once i get there, i'll want to see how far i can take it. it won't end.

Yes, after driving that car today, it definitely felt stronger than the run-of-the-mill Ss I drove back at IMA when I worked there. The car's bottom end is good, but the top-end improvement is where the fun is.

This car would be a great car for an autocrosser or someone who wants the full autocross/track/daily driver combo. The goodies on, and included with, the car can speak for themselves as to how much Jesse has put into this project.

Somebody continue the project and buy this car from him... I think Rennlist would benefit seeing what it becomes after all the parts are on there and properly setup.

Thanks Kevin.

It was funny....yesterday Kevin and I were cruising in I-264, and he was making this funny face... I asked him what was wrong...He asked me if I was in fifth, and I busted out laughing. Since my car has the short fifth gear, the revs are higher, he was freaking out, lol.
