and rollers, you're taking them off anyway, so might as well replace them. seals are under some of the rollers. Honestly, it's preventative maintinance to do seals. they'll leak eventually, while you're in there, replace them so you don't need to worry about it.

I have another question for you guys...

the car has been sitting for about a year now ( I know, I know...) and I kind of want to drive it home (it's about a mile or two away) so I don't have to drive anywhere to work on it. The timing belt isn't bad or anything, it has about 20k on it, I'm actually only changing it because I'm going to be doing the seals. Is it risky, do you think, to drive it the couple miles home?
just drive it.

it's an 86 turbo, I have the paperwork somewhere, but I'm not sure of exact mileage since belt/waterpump.. I think its somewhere between 15-20k now.

If you will allow me to give this a different perspective. If you are able to set aside about 600 bucks before doing the work, then why NOT do it youself? For about that much you can send the head w/ bent valves, as a core, to a couple of vendors and replace it yourself. If you F it up agian you'll be a damned guru. lol
Seriously, other than the failure cost, and tool costs, the experience is invaluable. You only live once.
