924S Idling Weirdly
I just replaced the vacuum lines and the idle control valve with a used one that was supposed to work. now the car is back together but it is idling high when the car is first started, say 1.1k, and when warmer it is fluctuating from 1k to 1.7k every few seconds repeatedly. obviously something is amiss, I'm pretty sure the vacuum lines are done correctly, what do you guys think?

My early 84 is the opposite. I replaced vac lines and ICV also but when i first start it, it idles perfectly and then slowly falls. I'm assuming it is the ICV is closing? Any suggestions. I also have the fr wilks shutter fix by eliminating the tps. Would this affect it?
Sorry for the thread jack.

i thought about that too, but the fact that it is going from 1k to 1.7k and back again within a couple seconds repeatedly shows that it probably isn't the idle air flow on the TB. i'm going to recheck the connections again, maybe something didn't hook up all the way. and i'll have to post a video of it idling because its kinda funny...
also i have no clue how long the ICV had been sitting...i can try to oil it...but damn everything is back together, maybe i can pull off one of the tubes connected to it without pulling of the intake!

Remove the ISV and take 2 jump wires, connect one to power the other to ground. Place one end on one contact and the power to the other it should move the valve imediately, if it does not, reverse the connections on the valve and try again. If it moves use brake cleaner and work the valve piston back and forth until it slides easily. Small amount of WD40 for lubrication and reinstall. Make certain the flow direction on the ISV is correct also.
