Default WANTED: unbroken cruise control lever: 86 951 Black 944 613 507 10

My friend was driving my car and pushed the cruise control lever *UP* and it broke off right at the base. (road trip!! don't usually let anyone drive my cars )

Anyone have one for sale??

Also, who knows how to fix it? I haven't taken off the rectangular black cover yet (the one around the steering column) and the car is back at home; 200 miles away. Does the lever itself come out easily or is there a whole assembly that needs replaced?

I have one off a 90K 86 951 in good shape. It's very easy to install as long as you line up both stalks when you reassemble it. You will need to pull the steering wheel and that black cover just snaps off. Asking $25 shipped.

Are you selling the lever itself, or the entire switch assembly?

Also, "that black cover just snaps off" ??? the one I'm thinking of is held on by 2 scews... For clarification, I haven't taken anything apart yet.

For clarification the black cover has two screws with tabs that lock the front and back together. The lever is an assembly with all the electrical contacts attached. I don't think you can get 'just' the lever, you need the whole stalk I believe; at least that's how I've always seen them sold

I have a complete assembly you can have if you want? I replaced it because the turn signal auto cancel was not working right. let me know.

Martin: Thanks, but I'd like to get one that fully functional. This car should be my "keeper"
StyleLab: I'll wait to see if the Steve has the one I need and then I'll get back to you (I already told him I'd buy his, but wasn't sure on the part number)
