Be sure to take it easy on the bass if you install woofers..

I installed the same speakers in the front doors not too long ago. I also used 3/8" for the spacers. But, I think if I cut new spacers out of 1/4", then dremmled out the old bracket, the stock speaker grills would snap on and not hit the dash when the door closes. Whaddyathink?

Yeah, dash clearance is b/c of angle of the dash, so cabs & old style dashes do not have the prob... Also, the tweeters for the rear 10-speaker system- yes, they came in the grills- I've pried a few out to use aftermarket & plan to use regular 6.5" grills for the 6x8 kappas. It's a weird set-up, actually, but the latest from the 968's did pretty well. I like the idea of using the 6.5's as light subs, but then the 4x6's might have probs handling the rest up front. Why not 5.25 components or just get some nice shallow 6.5 components up front...? just curious...
