Default Back from New Orleans with the 951 - PICS!

Had a good trip down to the Big Easy and got back safe and sound with the car on Sunday. It is hard to comprehend the scale of the Katrina devistation till you have seen it yourself!

Really enjoyed the French Quarter - finally got our bearings on the third try and ate at Irene's - incredible food! Garden district was really nice - we just had time to drive through.

Here are some pictures of the car - really nice color but the passenger frame rail is litterly folded into inself just under the power steering fluid cannister. The bead on the door panels is coming apart and the rear carpet was coming up when I was vacumming it. As you can see while the car was on high ground during the hurricanes the tool kit must've taken on some water sitting in the rear cubby with a clogged drain

Hey Sharky - I'll trade it to you for a second set of the rear hatch pins

Wizkid918 - $200 is what they usually go for

Mavfan - Wish there was a way I could get it running but the insurance estimate done for the previous owner came out at $12k+. Also the car has a salvage title and 168k on the OD. I am pretty sure it is going to be a parts car.

How much water did it see? Do you know if water was sitting in the car or if that was cause of rain and clogged drain hoses or what?

This car didn't see any water at all - the tool kit just got damaged from a clogged drain hole in the rear cubby.

Hey Josh, is this a parts car? If it is I would be interested in buying your rear valence from you, my car is the same color but is a NA 944 and I would like that look.

Yep - it is a parts car. I can do it for $225 shipped to Oregon if that works for you.

This one is fine but I have never tackled cutting out the battery tray. I've got another turbo shell that is heading to the recycler on Saturday - if you wanted to come over and cut it out early in the morning - you would be welcome to.

That's a shame, don't see many in that color. It appears to have been well-optioned by the original buyer.

Yep - I was holding out hope for a limited slip. It does have a cooler on the trans but the 220 option code is missing
